Hi,

I am Rheal Charette and I have nothing to offer you except masses of traffic to your website or blog. Can you use that? Most can, but if you can’t and don?t need traffic to your website or blog then I apologize for this article.

As you know, traffic is the life blood of any website, and if you have little or no traffic your site will lie dormant and your blog will have few visitors.

If, like me, you have tried many different techniques in trying to promote your website or your affiliate sites with little success you will understand what I am getting at. Everybody is promising that their system is the best, and bound to make you lots of money. If that’s the case why are they sending you emails rather than using their own system!!!! That’s a statement not a question!!!!

Forget the ubiquitous scams and lies. There are also many truths told out there: their system makes money – and so it does, or did – but now it’s worn out, Google is on to it or too many people are using it now, so they are selling it to you because they can no longer make money using it except by selling it – with ‘Proof of Income’ that can be created using Photoshop!

Don’t fall for these false Clickbank and PayPal accounts with masses of cash – they can be created in a few minutes using a graphic copy of the page and Photoshop. The system looks fabulous – and so it was, with emphasis on the WAS! It doesn’t work anymore.

Do they think we are nuts – YES – because many people fall for it. But not you! Not now!

As in any business venture budgeting, content and tracking your results for your ad campaigns will be of the utmost importance. Tracking is another important aspect of the performance of your ads. What are the trends you observe? Are you offering specials such as coupons or expiration dates to respond? If using search engines are you reviewing tracking codes to determine your exposure? Looking at all of this information on a daily or weekly basis will allow you to be nimble and able to react to success or failure of your efforts. This constant vigilance will keep your budget on track.

Last but not least is the constant tweaking of your campaign. Subtle changes in ad copy or changes in your bidding price will reap many rewards. A successful advertiser is always looking for a better and more profitable way to advertise. One must be careful not to over analyze your campaign. Ad campaigns need to run for a while to test their effectiveness, but don’t hold on to an ideas just because you like it. Reverse thinking is when you look at the way the rest of the world thinks and acts – and do the opposite.

But whatever your area of interest, you must start by finding an audience to whom you can mail letters or brochures stating the kind of information you want to sell.

Most specialty newsletters will appeal to a select audience of no more than a few thousand. The idea is to find mailing lists from commercial list brokers consisting of people who share your interest. Or, you can place small ads in magazines which would appeal to the kind of people you want to reach. The newsletter itself is usually typewritten on 8.5 x 11 inch paper and can be reproduced on a copier or with inexpensive offset printing. Your cost for mailing and printing will probably not exceed 20 cents for each issue you mail out. Depending on how specialized your newsletter is, you can charge anywhere from $10 to $50 or more for a year’s subscription.

Mailing lists of potential subscribers can be acquired through list brokers at a cost of about $30 per thousand names. Look under “Mailing Lists” in the Yellow Pages of your city’s telephone directory. As you can quickly calculate, if you are able to get $10 for twelve issues of a newsletter (which costs you about $2.40 to produce in a year) your profit potential is substantial. Your newsletter will be successful if you offer subscribers information they want but cannot easily get otherwise.

Many entrepreneurs who started newsletters from a corner of a room in their homes have seen their projects blossom into very lucrative businesses, grossing as much as $100,000 or more per year.
